The Fundraising Committee was formed in October of 1999, along with the creation of the Campaign for Legal Services which was a call to action by bar members and community leaders to raise unrestrictive funds on behalf of MetroWest Legal Services. The Campaign’s initial goal, to raise $300,000 over the first three years, was met through special events and an annual appeal. The Campaign continues to raise $80,000- $100,000 annually, generating revenue from a golf tournament, an online auction and an appeal.

The Fundraising Committee meets four times a year to ensure its strategic direction still supports the Campaign’s goals. Among other tasks, the Committee members plan and support the Nancy King Memorial Golf Tournament and the MWLS Annual Online Auction.
